Once again, Jaguar had a great week at the New York International Auto Show! This annual event brings the world’s most renowned automotive brands together to exhibit cars. When it came to the World Car Awards, the 2019 Jaguar I-PACE swept awards across the spectrum!

The World Car Awards

Automotive brands gathered to unveil the future from April 17 to April 28. Their best efforts met the eyes of curious and critical judges, who scored vehicles across several measures. The World Car Awards were voted on by 86 automotive journalists from 20 countries across the globe.

Which such an impressive, diverse set of jurors, the success of the 2019 I-PACE was even more notable. It nabbed three awards overall, solidifying its status as one of the most forward-thinking SUVs on the market today.

So, which awards did the 2019 I-PACE score? It took home three awards, scoring World Car Design of the Year among them. This vehicle’s low-slung body combines crossover proportions with the uniquely sporty styling of a Jaguar. It looks more sports car than SUV! The First Edition’s Photon Red paint is striking, too.

The I-PACE also snagged the World Green Car award. Running purely on electric power, it produces zero tailpipe emissions. You’ll see a range of up to 234 miles on just one full charge!

Finally, the Jaguar luxury SUV took the World Car of the Year award. This was the first year two electric vehicles were finalists in this category. The Jaguar I-PACE outperformed some tough competition to take home the prize for the most well-rounded ride!
