Advanced Driver Assistance Technologies

Did you know Laand Rover vehicles offer a range of advanced driver assistance technologies?

Land Rover vehicles have many available driving aids to help identify a potential collision and reduce the severity of an impact. These include:

-Emergency Braking: If a potential collision is detected between speeds of 3-50 mph, the Emergency Braking system displays a Forward Alert collision warning, giving you time to take action. If no action is taken and a colision is still anticipated the system is designed to appl the brakes to reduce the severity of the possible impact.

-Advanced Emergency Brake Assist: When a moving vehicle is detected close ahead and the driver has applied the brakes, the system improves braking response during emergency braking situations at speeds above 5 mph. The vehicle must be fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

-High Speed Emergency Braking is attached to ACC and enhances emergency braking by sounding an audible warning if an imminent risk of collision occurs and then applying brakes at maximum pressure if a collision is unavoidable in order to mitigate the severity of the impact.

-Pedestrian Detection is a feature of emergency braking that can apply automatic braking in an attempt to avoid or mitigate an imminent collision risk with a pedestrian cutting in front of the host vehicle. Pedestrian Detection is designed to work between 3-37 mph.

Customers will want to know how these driver assistance systems are designed to provide reassurance and protection on every journey.
